It is all a bit odd to me. Clubs take great pride when they are given an award by the Northern Prigramme Club. But who the hell are they ? It could be just some bloke who should get out more for all we know.
The fact that they don't have a website for me seems a poor outfit in todays world.
Which brings me an idea. Why not the Football Programme Centre annual awards as voted for by forum members. Surely these awards would come with more clout than others as there are so many members from all over the country on here.
It would take some organising, but don't ask me. I can't be arsed Very Happy

You can still accept bribes (sorry, tips) up to the value of £34. Can't think of anyone I know who'd tip, let alone that much!

No No Partick Thistle won http://www.ptfc.co.uk/news/201.....rd_winners , not Hearts. Hearts got best editor in the Scotttish Prem. Not sure who won the best staple award or best advert award yet.

Barnsley won best in August. http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10309~2455314,00.html \ Scunthorpe won http://www.scunthorpe-united.co.uk/page/Advertising/0,,10442~1034633,00.html an award.
Bournemouth got two ( Greedy) http://www.afcb.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10324~2296476,00.html
This is better than the Oscars.
I think they should go back in time and hand awards out posthumously.

The thing is, they do/did actually produce a pretty good full colour magazine that I would have subscribed to if they actually took the time to promote it.

it is a shame as they are obviously passionate about football programmes, but they seem stuck in the 1980s and don't want to move with the times. They seem very secretive or else i detect i bit of snobbery, which is very common in the collecting world in general.
