The second one seems a little grubby in the middle of the cover. The high priced one is maybe hopefully hoping for one of those well known affluent Chelsea supporters to snap it up?

I may be wrong but i thought that programme peaked a few years ago at around the £30 mark.

EASY The dealer pays tax, has to make a living, lots of overheads and has a family to support.

The Other like Pompey is a Non tax payer with no overheads and supplements his job with money on the side .

As someone mentioned that prog did sell often for £30 but I was lucky enough to sell one for £118 around the same time. Sold another spare one recently and it went for under £10.

That is all fair and well but as buyers/collectors/non-collecting collectors why should we pay the higher price when a cheaper one may come round on eBay. Whether "bedroom bandits" are right or wrong the fact is that there are thousands of them on eBay and if a buyer can pay a fiver for an item then why pay fifty quid. That doesn't make the dealer wrong and there are plenty enough people around who prefer a buy it now option as they can't be fussed with auctions and the higher price one may well sell now or later. It all comes down to whether getting a price is important or moving stuff on. The bedroom bandits tend to want to move stuff on while I guess a lot of dealers want a price. Each to his own.

Realistically what is that Man Utd collection worth, assuming all items are in good condition?

Without looking he will be lucky to get £5,000

It consists of every single home matched played by Manchester United since 1947-8 season. It has missing some postponed matches but does include some.

It also includes a number of reserve and youth team fixtures as well as a number of away games, non Manchester United matches played at Old Trafford and games played by United on Neutral Grounds.

This collection will not be sold for less than £30,000 so don't waste either of our times if you are not able to deal at this level.

To avoid any confusion the only postponed programmes that are not in this collection are:-

12/2/83 LUTON
11/12/76 BRISTOL CITY
30/12/72 EVERTON
24/2/73 PALACE
20/12/69 LEEDS
26/12/68 QPR
22/2/69 LEICESTER
2/1/65 FULHAM
29/3/65 LEICESTER
29/12/62 FULHAM
19/1/63 ORIENT
16/2/63 SHEFF WED
8/2/58 WOLVES
22/12/56 WEST BROM
19/2/55 EVERTON
