What are the traits of a time waister ,been looking for a couple of Kettering aways 75/76 season for years some guy says he not only has one but the two sounds to good to be true what should I be aware of please .

Ask for a photo first of the two programmes together with a date on a piece of paper sitting on top...use paypal but NOT as friend/family and maybe suggest adding another pound on top to cover his fees

Suggest you have a video call via WhatsApp - fraudsters love to hide behind their keyboard

Suggest he lists them as "buy it now" on eBay, that way you benefit from eBay protection and pay for the right level of postage

I've seen your posts on the Facebook group "Football Programme WANTS LISTS" - was it via there he came to you? I picked up the last West Ham I needed back to 1942 via that group (and a 1923 home as well) so sometimes things do work out OK!

Thanks for the replies guys his reply is from The Lost Football Grounds site .....no profile on eBay his last post on there was Dec 22 ,I have of course asked for photos says he will post asap just sounds to good to be true you know what they say about that .

Normal PayPal is your best bet... not Friends and Family. You pay a modest fee which is essentially insurance. If it doesn't turn up you're not out of pocket

Ask him for another obscure programme or even make a fixture up, if they say yes they have it........... there is your answer

Latest I asked him for some photos....his reply was "I have loads of None League programmes " .

Going under the name of Andrew James !!!.? Looking very suspicious to me at the moment I have been looking for these two Kettering aways for about a hundred years and this guy says he has them both .....I will keep you informed ....if I ever hear from him again why do that do this is he hoping I am gullible enough to send him some money of .
