We have sadly been informed by Roberts son, that Robert Adcock died last Friday evening.

He has been suffering with ill health for last 12+ months.

His funeral will take place on Friday 2nd September, full details to follow.

We have agreed to post the details on behalf of his family for those that may wish to attend.

Very sorry to hear this. Been buying items from him for 20 years, and had a pleasant chat with him in Birmingham once when I picked up some items in person.
He loved his football and our hobby.

Have known for a while that he was very ill, but always comes as a shock when the time comes. RIP Robert

This is very sad news. I first spoke to Robert when he started trading (mid 90's?) and he said someone had broken into his car and stolen lots of boxes of programmes, asking to look out for a sudden glut of those programmes in other catalogues etc. I tried to help (this was pre my press photo stage) and spoke to him 2 or 3 times. I bought from his many catalogues subsequently, his attention to detail and knowledge was admirable. Then I met him from time to time at his auctions at Acocks Green. Always friendly and approachable, I shall miss him greatly.
