Help with Season on Nottingham Forest Ticket

A little bit of help please

Nottingham Forest v Manchester ?? its City or United and 20th of January .

The checking I have do , I can not find a season to match the partial info , any help please .

Had a quick check on statto, as you probably did, and can't find a match.

May have been a postponed fixture with it being January.

I am sure someone will come up with the answer this evening.

I would go with Saturday Jan 20th 1979 Man Utd but postponed

Neither of them played that day but Man City had a game elsewhere, the Forest game v Utd was later in the season, so possibly rescheduled.

If you had an earlier Forest home programme from that season it would show if the match was scheduled for Jan 20th

Possibly Manchester United in 1979?

Nottingham Forest didn't play that day, so postponed? Re-arranged game played on Wednesday 18 April 1979?

Thanks for the quick replies, yes your right I checked the various match stats sights and drew a blank.

I am sure its Manchester United as in the box its come from are other Manchester United Tickets .

I will go with 1979 .

I have just looked in a United programme from 1978/9 and yes the Nottingham Forest match is pre dated in for the 20th of January.
