A 6 year contract at 6 million a year, he's pissing himself all the way to the bank.

If Moyes gates the sack then UKIP are interested in him. They say he got United out of Europe after they spent many years there.

I wonder why the word "sacked" is used when all that's happening is his contract is terminated and he gets paid the remainder.

Emphasis on the latter.

Guilty of squandering millions of pounds, turning supporters against each other.

Belittling the great name of Manchester United, appearing not to care about what the supporters think.

All of the football world eagerly awaits the news......

Will the Glazer family ever leave Manchester United ?!!!

Oh and also will David Moyes get sacked ?!?

Laughing

Well he's sacked now, hope he takes Utd to the cleaners & get his pay off.............

But where do Utd go now, how long will the next manager last ????

Will the next manager blood more kids or go the city & chelsea way and spend, spend, spend............

Will Utd be able to attract the top players or just get the left overs

Do the supporters think anything outside the the top 4 as a failure...I'm certain there are a dozen teams in the premiership who love to be in their position

Pompeypete makes a valid point. The precedent has now been set. Has DM been sacked for not winning the league, or for not qualifying for the Champions League, and will we be here asking the same questions in six years time and six managers down the line?
I stand by my original post, and say that DM has been harshly treated. I certainly wish him all the best in the future. There are one or two players in that squad (probably more) who should hang their heads in shame. Does anybody really think that Jones would get anywhere near the England squad if he played for anybody but United?
As for successors, Klopp has said he is happy at Dortmund, can't see Guardiola or Ancellotti wanting to leave Bayern or Real, which sadly leaves van Gaal. We have to get it right and back him to the hilt in the transfer market.

As a different viewpoint my club Leicester last night won the Football League Championship a lot of supporters wanted Nigel Pearson sacked at the end of last season but the owners stuck by him and he has proved people wrong. Too many managers are sacked these days too quickly (My club have done this looking at the number we have had). Owners these days run out of patience and a few bad results come along and they panic. Alright I know Man U are a big club but some of the media seem to think they have a divine right to be in the Champions League season after season they don't but these owners see what's written in the press and they take it for granted thats what the fans want so its about time owners started listening to the fans not the media but they don't, you only after look at Cardiff this season for that.

Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has ruled himself out of the United job.

But his brother Klipity is said to be interested. Very Happy

Just read that Sir Alex had a meeting some two months ago, at which he admitted that he had got it wrong. Maybe it was him who stage managed the fly by message the other week.
Now I see he is going to have significant input into the choice of the next man in the hot seat. I don't know about anybody else, but I would be staying well clear of that one.
Finally Foxes1 - best of luck next year. Great to see you and Burnley back in the big time.

I ken I'll not be the only punter on here who couldn't give a flying f**k about who's the next manager at Old Trafford? Awaits inevitable caustic comment from Mr Millman!

BTW, if Auchinleck beat Irvine Meadow on Saturday, and Hurlford fail to win we will retain our Super League title. Real fitba....

Interesting that Ryan Giggs at his press conference yesterday twice referred to SAF as "The Manager".

Either nervousness, a slip of the tongue or, more likely, his shadow still loomed large whilst David Moyes was "in charge".

You could always make yourself a cuppa for the first ten minutes Laughing

I doubt that United will be the first match again this season so you should be ok for a few months.
