Ripped off by Crawley Town

Wasn't able to go to a recent (sept 2 Oldham away game at Crawley Town so I contacted them to arrange for some items to be sent to me (programme and teamsheet) - a week before the game

I got a reply from the club secretary. He asked for a cheque to be sent - which I did.

It was cashed mid October and .................... nothing

Not only did I not recieve what I paid for, Crawley dont reply to email (they read them as I had read reciept emails).

Anyone else had a bad experience dealing with Crawley?

I'd forget about emails, they are easily ignored.

Give them a ring and don't let them mess you about.

you could always contact Ian Hands he has a programme shop at Crawleys ground

Pity about crawley.

They need a few lessons from Newport County.

I contacted Duncan Jardine on the day of the recent JPT game against Pompey by email and i had a reply within 10 minutes.

I ordered my programme and paid for it with Duncan and 48 hours later it was on my doormat.

I would not hesitate to use him again.

I also had good, quick dealings with Newport as well as Stevenage.
Both first class.

Thanks for all the comments.

I have received no contact from Mr Hough. Nor have I recieved any goods.

As for buying from publishers - Mr Hough requested payment by cheque sent to him - which has been cashed.

Why should I pay again for the programme?

Some clubs are great to deal with and some are a absolute nightmare but this is the first time I feel I have been ripped off by a professional football club.

I had a word with Ian Hands when this thread first appeared and he forwarded details of the problem on to the Media department at Crawley Town.

I have spoken to Ian in the last hour and he has apparently received assurances from the Club that the programme and teamsheet have now been sent.

I must stress that Ian no longer has any direct involvement with Crawley Town but, obviously, retains some influence from his many years connection with the club.

Hi, i will be opening my programme shop at Crawley Saurday, i will speak again to Chris to determine if sent. If not then i have spare Oldham programme and team sheet. Crawley were responsible for the programmes for that fixture, now taken over by o.publishing.com who take back the unsold's and pulp them.
