Talk about cryptic descriptions:

"No writing but has an historic matchday fold"

How historic? Did Jonny Haynes fold it?

or.. how about?

No writing other than the score, scorers and attendence have been noted in the centre pages. Has only a slight historic fold.

It reminds me of those that add "ticket has the usual matchday folds" on eBay.

Another one I'm getting sick of is a Gillingham v Carlisle programme that re-appears week in week out saying "priced to sell". Well you haven't sold it for the past year so why don't you have a re-think on that one.

Haha.
That reminds me of a Rovers v Shrewsbury programme that was listed repeatedly week in week out for about 18 solid months a couple of years ago. It was a very common one that no Rovers fan needed but the guy kept spelling Shrewsbury, "Shresbury" so none of the shrews fans would ever find it in their searches. I did think about contacting him but I found it so funny wondering if he would ever work it out that I didn't.
Yeah I know it was wicked but pigging funny all the same.
Eventually He did work it out and it sold.

For the grand total of 99p.

Mis-spelling is a laugh on ebay. When I am searching Partick items on ebay I frequently see items for 'Partick' Swayze listed Laughing

yes, i laughed at the £80 price tag for that prog, i have the prog as i actually went to that game, quite amusing memories as my wife was 7 months pregnant at the time so i had to fork out for stand tickets instead of the usual terraces. happy days, [even though we lost]

These Guys have a "sister" site watfordprogrammes.co.uk, similar prices, way over the top.

I doubt if they sell much at all, as even the most common stuff from the 80s is priced £3-4, it's a shame as the website actually looks like a lot of work has gone into it. I offered them a load of doubles for a quid each including some early 60s (which was more of a punt, but still a bargain at their prices), and got an email back saying something along the lines of in the current market I had no chance of them paying that much, and to be more realistic.

Hmmm advice they would be well taking I'd say!

Obviously trying to build a little empire here....

Again some nice stuff but the prices are sky high, I am guessing they have broke down their previous website (Fulham programmes or somhing similar) into clubs as a lot of their stock is Fulham based still.

I also emailed them seeing if they were interested in a few rare/sought after items, no reply

I agree that their prices are OTT especially for older items, but pension funds have not been doing too well lately! I must admit I recently bought a few recent Fulham (only one F ) from them, and the items were a bit overpriced, but I couldn't find them anywhere else (that's my excuse) and when you are getting towards the end of a particular collection. as I am, I am prepared to pay a little more to get there a bit quicker! That said, I have to say that their service and packing was excellent, as you would hope for. Basically you pays your money, if you're rich enough or daft enough, and you makes your choice.

You are moaning about the prices on all those sites and the is a constent moan about all things ebay but each time you put link to those sites you make the chances of them making money more likely. Thats because the more back links a site has the better it shows up in the search engines.

If you were a genuine collector of a certain club and you wanted to sell your collection , then the obivious choice whould be via an auction. You could always sell to a dealer but most know this would be a bad idea. If you were a keen supporter and had the time and money then you may want to set up a web site to sell your collection. The problem then would be what price whould you set. I'm honest enough to say i would want the highest price possible, but then again you would want to sell, so it can't be too high. What if your prices were low and a guy came along and bought your whole stock in one day? I honestly don't think a website can be dedicated to one club without the prices been on the slighty higher side ( i agree, these sites are more than slightly over the top ). As slightfold says, you wouldn't mind paying over the odds if it helps complete a set. The price flutuation in what i collect ( Sunderland homes, the older stuff) would make a website for the clubs programmes impossible.
