The next fair I organise will be the inaugural BRISTOL & WEST PROGRAMME & MEMORABILIA FAIR at the Orangery, Arnos Manor Hotel, 470 Bath Road, BS4 3HQ on Sunday October 22 (10.30am-1.30pm).
Whilst the Fair that I organised at Bristol Rovers back in March was relatively successful, one notable feature was the almost complete absence of Bristol City collectors - local hostilities run deep, as I know from my own up-bringing at Rovers!
It was, therefore, suggested that perhaps we should also stage a Fair at Ashton Gate on a Sunday later in the year, Unfortunately, there were no rooms available at Ashton Gate that came within my budget. Therefore, I investigated a suitable hotel in South Bristol as a possible alternative, of which the best is probably Arnos Manor Hotel.
It is easy to get to, on the main A4 Bath Road, just a mile from Temple Meads station, and well-served by buses.
There were several Bristol City collectors at the Fair in Bath in July that I discussed the proposal with, and they thought it would be well worth trying to hold a Fair there.
Any dealers, or collectors with surplus stock to sell, wishing to take a stand at the Fair should please send me a PM or email me on [email protected].

Have added this one to the fairs list Gordon.
Will be there if I can.

PS, I would have even come to one at the other lots ground. Though may have had to get inoculated first lol.

Cheers, Jamie

We still have space available for a couple of extra traders, so if any dealers, or collectors with surplus stock to sell, wish to take a stand at this Fair please send me a PM or email me on [email protected].

Six days to go to the BRISTOL & WEST FAIR at THE ORANGERY, ARNOS MANOR HOTEL, 470 BATH ROAD, BS4 3HQ (10.30am-1.30pm).
It's an ideal venue, situated on A4 main road, 1 mile west of Temple Meads station, with a large free car park and frequent bus service.
We still have space available for a couple of extra traders, so if any dealers, or collectors with surplus stock to sell, wish to take a stand at this Fair please send me a PM or email me on [email protected].
Finalised details of all traders will be posted within a day or two.

The stall-holders are listed, together with their contact details to assist collectors to make contact with them so that if they have specific items they would like to be brought to the Fair they can do so:
MARK ADDICOTT (Bristol-based): A collector selling some of his surplus stock, mainly memorabilia, including badges, coins, cards, magazines and newspapers, shirts etc, many with a Bristol City bias. Email: [email protected]
ROGER AND TONY COOMBS (Cardiff based): The largest dealers in Wales with an incredible range of programmes and other memorabilia, particularly strong on Welsh material. Tel.: 02920-560014. Email: [email protected]
MARTIN LANE (Surrey-based): A Chelsea specialist, who has stalls at a range of other fairs and also carries a wide range of items from other clubs. Email: [email protected]; Website: football-program.co.uk
TOM ROE: (Lancashire-based): Well-known dealer with a fascinating array of top quality antique items, including prestigious display items, menu cards, autographed photographs etc. Email: [email protected]
WESTWARD PROGRAMMES (Plymouth based): Event organiser and programme specialist, with a wide range of Big Match, League, Cup and Non-League items, with a particular bias towards West Country clubs, especially Plymouth Argyle. Tel: 07543-845396; Email: [email protected]

Oooops!
Had a 'senior moment' earlier and forgot to include details of our sixth trader at the Fair on Sunday:
TERRY'S BADGES: (Home Counties based): Has a huge selection of badges, especially from Non-League clubs. Regularly has stalls at AFC Wimbledon and Wycombe Wanderers home games. Email: [email protected] Website: www.terrysbadges.co.uk

Oooops!
Yes, sorry Lee!
Another 'senior moment'! I'm certainly not having the best of weeks this week!
So may I hastily add to my earlier posts:
Our seventh trader at the Fair on Sunday will be Lee Hermitage of North West Middlesex Football.
I expect he will bring Big Match programmes from 1940's to 2017; pre-1960 Football League and pre-1970 Non-League issues; late 1970's Topps cards a a selection of books, shirts and other football collectables. Phone: 07922-or 07749-328570. Email: [email protected]. Website: www.nwmfootball.com.

I should like to thank all the traders and collectors who attended the Fair in Bristol yesterday very much for supporting the event.
I know that it was the first fair to be held at this venue, but it was disappointing only to have an attendance of 25, despite my spending over £250 advertising it in Programme Monthly, the Bristol Post, the West Country Sunday Independent, the Non-League Paper and League Football Paper, as well as social media message boards etc.
I am hoping for (and confidently expect) much better attendances at the other West Country Fairs I am planning for Swindon on January 28, Bristol Rovers on March 18 and Bath on July 8.
