Well it's disappeared as in it's no longer at the club, and their whereabouts isn't widely known Tynie.

I know who has them though, and I said "well meaning" because they're with chaps of great integrity, and I fully believe they merely wanted to safeguard them from ending up in non-Newport County hands.

Time they were perhaps handed back?

I only went to Somerton Park the once - the 1-7 game against Barnet - a few months before the shutters came down.

Got talking to one of the club's directors on the train down, as you do, who from memory lived in Dulwich or somewhere south of the river - anyway he left me at Newport station and said he had to meet up with manager John Mahoney and the players at a hotel!

Anyway, before he departed he left me a pass for the director's bar for before/during/after the game.

I'm sorry to say young Wiggy but it reminded of inside of a nick - having spent the odd occasion at her majesty's pleasure I can vouch for this.

Everyone was doing their best to put a brave face on things but unfortunately your club was being run into the ground by that Yank fuckwit, if I recall, before SP et al was confined to history.....

I wouldn't disagree mate.

I wouldn't disagree with this either, in fact you're bang on DQ!!

The last two years were horrible. The place reeked of death and I can still remember vividly how thoroughly depressed everything about it made me feel. Especially the final league season in '87/88 when you could almost see the Grim Reaper hovering about.

The Yank feckwit was a Canadian conman who is / was serving a lengthy prison sentence Stateside for another major fraud.

It's amazing how many good County fans were taken in by him.

...and talking of unique Tottenham items.

I'd imagine it will go for much more, even in current climes.
