I recently sold a programme from Japan on ebay for £2.85 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1607.....500wt_1287

I was browsing around and saw the same programme here http://www.collectsoccer.com/acatalog/Japan_Cup_Football_Programmes.html up for £300.

I also had an offer for a load of 2002 World Cup tickets for £15 from collectsoccer which I later sold for over £300.

I've got nothing against anyone earning a few bob, but this is a bit strong, anyone agree?

Anyone had any similar experiences?

And I know that's life, just thought it may be interesting to post this up.

i think this site has been discussed before, i would be amazed if this programme sold for £300, so don't assume you have lost £297 on this, but agree that it is probably worth alot more.

Take a look at these prices for Arsenal handbooks http://www.collectsoccer.com/acatalog/Arsenal_Handbooks.html

Now I'm roaring with laughter. I wonder if the site owner comes on here, he must be a self-made millionaire Laughing

I was looking at the site earlier today actually and saw a Swansea v Aston Villa programmes from 65/66 season £25 !! I have looked a few times to be honest over the year and never even thought about buying anything off him. I'm glad someone else has bought this up as i thought he was well over priced as well but didn't like to say anything.

I've got a spare Swansea v Real Betis pre season programme from this year, mint condition, no folds, a bargain at £125, that includes postage though! Any interest??? Very Happy

I heard Sheikh Mansour, Richard Branson & Alan Sugar all have catalogue subscriptions but at only £100 for 6 issues a year who can blame them

His book section is an eye opener too. He has a 1950s Billy Wrights Soccer Scrapbook on offer for a mere £130........I sold the same item on ebay recently and thought I did well in shifting it for a fiver Neutral

The thing is, they have some bloody good stuff among the crap, but the prices are crazy. I think they are waiting for the " i got a couple of grand and i want to "" INVEST"" in programmes but know nothing about the hobby brigade " to come along and snap their programmes up.
On this guys calculations, my programme collection will clear the national debt.

Over the years I have seen three copies of the 1980 Kirin Cup come up on eBay and they have all gone for about £60 - £85. There's a guy trying to shift one on and off at the moment at I think £98. He's had a few offers which he's turned down. Holding out I guess.

Jeez this one made me laugh. I paid under a fiver for it a couple of years ago.

Auckland v Bristol Rovers official programme 26/05/1974, match played in New Zealand, 18 pages, in very good condition. £250.

Same goes for this one

Wellington v Bristol Rovers official programme 25/05/1974, match played in New Zealand, 16 pages, in very good condition. £250.

And the fiver included the post from New Zealand.

Is the guy stupid or just very greedy.
