There are a few different versions of official and unofficial progammes knocking about from this game.

I know how many I think there are ... want to see if anyone else has a higher number than mine.

And was it common that so many different versions were produced back then?

So I know of 5 different versions. Can't imagine there are more than that. Assume there were so many because it was the highest recorded attendence at a match upto then?!? Strangely, there seems to more than 1 'official' version.

This is on eBay at the minute

Not mine I have to add. Doubt I'll ever have a programme worth that much!

To be fair, that programme would probably only sell for about half what he's quoting there. Has been listed a few times. It is the most common of the 5 different programmes I know of from the match ... I'll put images up of them once I get round to it.

It just proves how much the value of programmes have fallen in the last few years. I remember programmes like this going for 5000/6000 quid.
I agree 800 is more realistic today, but that is a hell of a drop.

Interesting in that it shows how bad people can be at estimating a valuation. I bought a copy in 2009 and one in 2008 and I'd have had change from the price being quoted on eBay for the pair.

The rarer versions from that game would fetch in the £3-6k bracket.

Yes,...... quite. Sorry for being a little mischiefness. I think you're spot on with your analysis, it is what I would consider a souvenir brochure printed by a local printer in Sunderland, and not the official programme.

For the official programme again, i think you're spot on with your take on it.

Regards, Sharrowblade

The game had 17 minutes of stoppage time. Sir Alex must have been the Villa manager in those days Laughing
