Read

Evening all - I'm calling on the kind hearted nature of my fellow football fans and programme collectors on here with this thread as I'm asking you to support me on my efforts to help raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research.

Now before you leave this thread could you please take a few moments to read my post as I'm hoping as many people as possible would be so kind to donate just £1 to the justgiving site and in return I will post a City programme from my spares free of charge once you have PM'd an address - As an added idea to anyone who makes the donation if you leave your name on the page of your favourite ever player I will do my best to find a programme featuring that player or his team.

The 5 year old boy, Lucas on the just giving page is the son of a good family friend of ours Melanie Pritchard and I know from my own experiences with a serious illness to a child that the support given by family and friends and even more so total strangers really helps out and a very difficult time.

Any support with this will be very much appreciated

http://www.justgiving.com/lucaspritchard

Kind Regards

Mark

PS: Is there any chance this could be made a sticky for a week or two

Donation made.
Mark, please don't send me a programme, I would rather it be sold to raise just a little bit more.
Jamie.

Donation made Mark, well done on raising the initial total. As with other posters please don't send a programme. I would rather you set up a silent auction with some of your programmes and forum members bid on them for charity? Keep up the good work everyone.

I cant thank the people who have donated so far enough, I have spoken with the little Lucas's Mum this evening and she is truly overwhelmed at the support given by the football community across the UK.

Unfortunatly Lucas faces 5 years of treatment ahead of him but I can assure you your donations do make a difference and also give a huge boost to the family at this difficult time.

Thank You

Once again a big thank you to everyone who has donated so far – Your donations are very much appreciated and will make a difference in treatment and saving lives in the fight against this awful disease.

We are still a little short of our current fund raising target so any donations no matter how small will make a difference and be very much appreciated.

Thank you

Hi everyone and once again a huge thank you to everyone who donated and support us so far.

Lucas’s parents Mel & Rob have asked me to give you a little up date on how the little fella is doing and let you know how overwhelmed they are by the support shown by the football community across the UK. Lucas has had a really tough couple of months as his blood levels are constantly low and faces many weekly trips to the hospital but he remains as strong and tough as can be in the face of the such awful adversity that has been put in front of him, At the moment he faces a further 5 years of treatment ahead of him.

We have encouraged Mel & Rob to raise there Leukaemia fundraising target £10,000 and as before if any can spare just £1 to help fight this dreadful disease it will be very much appreciated and WOULD make a difference.

Thank you

Good to see this appeal is still going forward and that they are nearly half way towards their target.

£5,137.34 so far mate which is just fantastic - I spent the afternoon with little Lucas last Saturday while he hammered me on the Playstation - The strength & courage shown by the little fella if the face of such awful adversity is just mind blowing it truly is.

As most of you are aware I having being raising much needed funds for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research so I wanted to give this very worthy cause another plug in the hope others can add a small donation that will make a difference and also give a boost to family and friends of those currently fighting this dreadful disease.

A close family friend of mine’s 6 year old boy, Lucas Pritchard is currently seriously ill with high risk Leukaemia and faces unbelievable adversity at such a young age over the next 5 years but he continues to smile and tackle head on every obstacle on a daily basis that is put in his way – His family have set a fundraising target of £10, 000 which we can help them reach – I know many of you have donated to the cause and once again thank you for doing so – Its gives Lucas and his family a much needed boost when they see this target climbing knowing we can prevent others from suffering.

So once no matter how small a donation IT will make a difference, Please could I ask as many people as possible to copy a paste this thread and link and forward it to as many email contacts as possible or even as a Facebook status.

Thank you for taking the time to read this thread

Mark
