How do you obtain your clubs teamsheets?

Question in the title really after looking through various teamsheets i have (and consideing expanding them to match the programmes) i was just wondering how everyone gets theres? and how easy they are to obtain?

Norwich give them out free if you use certain members only bars, if not then they are 25p from the clubs reception I believe.

Similar to Norwich for the Boro. Priced 20p last season, but not sure of this seasons price.

Frampton, do you still get Bristol City's teamsheets straight from the club website?

I only started collecting teamsheets 2 years back and have managed to collect about 300 boro home and aways from 1995 onwards.

Last season I took the approach of emailing all away clubs before upcoming fixtures to obtain a teamsheet. Most clubs were very helpful and I managed to get 16 out of 23 aways (anything from free to £2 per sheet). I have a teamsheet subscription set up with boro to get all the homes for 50p a fixture and they send them out to me at intervals throughout the season (you may be able to set this up with an email request to your club.

Most of the teamsheets I have bought on ebay, however they are few and far between. This sometimes involves searching through descriptions to check if programmes advertised include teamsheets that are not stated in the title. I search 'middlesbrough sheet' (some people call them press sheets) in ebay and click the include search of the description box and have come up with a few gems. I have also had success emailing people who sell teamsheets on ebay and asking if they have any others. I spend about £2 on average per teamsheet on ebay

Bristol City told me that the hardly printed any teamsheets for home fixtures and would not send originals out when I asked. Although you can print them out as Rocky says from the website but that isn't authentic enough for me as I would prefer one from the stadium because I am petty!!!

Team sheets at Bloomfield Road are freely available in the sponsors lounge and VIP areas if you are fortunate enough to have a ticket for that area. Otherwise they should be available on reception but it sometimes depends who's 'on guard' as to whether you can pop in and get one.

Fortunately I have contacts who can usually get me one or two.

I am not sure about away games this season though. When I was turned away at Wigan from popping into reception I mentioned that I always tried to get a team sheet at away games. He said that he didn't think I would have much luck in the Premier League. I did however manage to get one after the game ended. I might need to ask some of the members on here from time to time if they can get me one from their club this season.

And what about these sellers on e-bay who sell current team sheets from a whole host of games the length and breadth of the country. Do they have an army of friends and helpers at all the games?

I see you have Arsenal next - they print millions for all their lounges, you should be ok there I would have thought.

If you dont get one on the day loads come up on ebay after the game.

Good luck and I am glad you got of to a decent start, last time we were up it took 13 games to get a win and it was up hill from then on in, nearly did it though as you may recall.

Perhaps it's different attitudes in non league and the lower reaches of the Football League. My good friend, Grimsbybarralad, has managed to get me 5 teamsheets from all the pre season friendlies that Grimsby have played this season, all free of charge. Have managed 5 programmes as well from each friendly that produced them.

I have about 420 Sheffield United teamsheets home and away, and there are a variety of ways to get them, many which are covered in this thread already. (Reception etc etc, ).

As mentioned in 'the quest for the 92' thread, I have managed to get a teamsheet for all the games me & my little uns have attended, even last wednesday night we managed to get a Pegeia Paphos v Apollon Limassol teamsheet, (don't understand a word of it, it's all greek to me).

Each ground varies, assuming you haven't got readily available access to the sponsor lounge, then there's the club shop, the press box, & the Ticket office.
If you don't go to the game the obvious channels are there like e-bay, or friends who have attended but failing that I suggest contacting the club media officer, normally they are more than happy to help.

I collected teamsheets until about 3 years ago and then stopped. Initially I would write to Arsenal press office after each home match and enclose an SAE and they would send me one or two with a compliment slip. I did similar for away matches and everyone obliged except Man Utd who said that the sheets are not made available to public. After a couple of years one of my friends who was a steward at the ground managed to get me a regular supply of home ones. Any that I missed I managed to find on eBay. Not many dealers do them as a collectable except Brentside who now have a section on their website for teamsheets.
