Stoke City Stat - is is true ?

Hiya guys,

I heard a Stoke City stat on Talksport Radio this evening, and I just wondered if it was actually true as it is just bizarre !

The stat is that apparently Stoke City haven't won a Tuesday night away game in the top flight division since 1906, when they beat Everton away.

One for the Potters fans to thumb through the results pages of their programmes I guess and I await further news.

It wouldn't be that big a surprise would it? A couple of things- they've been out of the top division a lot more than they've been in it. And how many of their league (away) games were played on a Tuesday anyway? Midweek league games are not exactly a rarity, but not common, especially in the pre floodlit days. Also, Stoke have rarely troubled the top half of the table in the top flight, over the years. They've been pretty steady in midtable since promotion but in that time they'd won only 30 away games in 9 seasons (before Tuesday)
