Hi All,

Can anyone help me identify the date, match, teams, players and stadium pictured in this old photograph please? There's no info on the back...

Everton v Newcastle maybe?

Definitely pre-war as no shirt numbers. 1930's probably.

Not sure of venue and nearly all guesswork.

The two almost vertical-looking banks of terracing do suggest Newcastle United as the home team.
Not many clubs had that as a feature.

The opponents shirts look more likely to be blue than red to me.

I'd go with Pete - Everton.

Thanks. I guess picking out players is the obvious step but easier said than done with their backs to the camera! Sherlock

I have customers who are experts in both Everton & Newcastle players - if you wanted me to, I can ask them both - but I'd need a copy of this photo as a jpeg please. Can you email it to me please?
