Versatile player with a journeyman playing career, but I remember him appearing in almost every position for Palace during his 2 and half years and 82 league games at Palace in the mid 60's. Also turned out for West Brom, Norwich, Wrexham, Charlton and Orient.

He had a long and successful coaching career later.

Sadly passed away aged 81. Lovely bloke when I met him a few years ago.

RIP Brian. Here he is in Palace shirt, 1964.

Coached Arsenal's youth team to the FA Youth Cup and South East Counties League Cup in 1970-71 then buggered off to West Brom with Don Howe.

Not the best decision by either of them.
