Liverpool v Manchester United 1944

I have this wartime league single sheet issue in my collection.

The paper is in good condition but as you can see team changes and scores have been noted in pencil.

Does the writing alter the value of this item? or because it is quite rare does it not really matter?

Any rare programme has a price but condition surely will make that price either a little higher or lower. I would therefore say it would be worth less with the somewhat untidy team changes than if there was no writing at all. I must admit from my own personal viewpoint punched holes is a certain do not buy but I would prefer to pay a little more for no writing.

depending on what u paid for it, send it to Eamonn Fitzmaurice and for £35 he will remove all the pencil marks and the ink that has crossed out the original printed teams as well as any surface grime /stains etc.

If you do not prefer to do that then thfcbasil's comments are 100% accurate.
