RIP Fergus McGovern ( Crystal Palace Associate Director)

I was saddened and shocked to learn that Fergus who I have known for about 25 years died as a result of a cerebral haemorrhage after a flight this weekend.

He was the owner of first Probe and then Hotgen in the games development business, responsible for amongst others Mortal Kombat. He also received the Freedom of London for his charity work.

But he was above all a family man and lifelong Palace fan who became an associate director and contributed mightily to the palace cause over the years.

50 is no age and whilst we couldn't call ourselves close friends I recall our last meeting was on East Croydon station when we both chose missing trains to chat about family football and old times rather than head to our respective meetings.
