Has anyone ever had a bargin off the "Buy It Now" option on Ebay or are all these prices just plain silly? I had one cracker which was all the more surprising because the guy was a regular seller and knew his stuff.

Most of them are over priced items that are offered over and over and over again, now, probably stupidly i choose to look at autions only. Saves me wading through all the buy it nows.
Re the Leeds Cup winners cup programme. i used to be friendly with Alan Clegg dealer supreme from Accrington in the late 70s early 80s, he used to buy them in at £30 in 1982.

Never had a decent Buyitnow but don't often buy football stuff on Ebay. Tell ya what I do have success at on other things - searching for Make an Offer + Private Seller and then make an offer at half price Smile

I paid £1 for an early 80s reserves programme that I relisted and it sold for a staggering £80.
On the other hand I once paid £45 for what I thought was a scarce postponed issue but sells for around a tenner. That one is the worst buy I have made in the hobby.

Years ago when I first started on ebay I bought many items on bin. At the time this was the best way for me and I bought well over a hundred progs that way. Now I find that the gaps I need to fill in are the older ones the bin prices tend to be way out of my league.

Yeah I think you're right Roxy. That's because everyone's an expert. Go to a car boot or a market and listen to some of the people talk about 1970's league programmes being really old, and very rare! Its just the same on ebay too.
