Can anyone with a 1976/77 Rothman's Football Yearbook help?

In the 1975/76 season - Steve Phillips at Northampton - does Rothmans show 6 goals or 7 in the League?

Reason for the rather niche question is that I'm trying to pin down whether he totalled 200 or 199 goals in his career - the Hugman book shows 199, Neil Brown website shows 200 so I'll go with whatever Rothmans says

Sid, Rothman shows 8 at Northampton in 75/6, which was actually from Oct 75 to Feb 77, so just over a season but 8 in 51 games at the Cobblers.

Rothmans says 6 goals during the 1975/76 season

But I believe the discrepancy comes from 09/03/1976 v Doncaster, some sources have Straford (2),McGowan (2) (as Rothmans does), however others have McGowan only getting 1 and Phillips scoring the other.

The clubs official historian goes with the latter, so I would go with that over Rothmans

Thanks to both - yes agreed it looks like that Doncaster - Northampton game is the issue - the BNA suggests McGowan was credited with both goals but it only returns one brief match report so certainly room for doubt. Based on good source giving different but equally plausible versions I'll leave as is (it's for Wikipedia if you hadn't guessed)
