Firstly merry Christmas to all.

In going through boxes of stuff to sort out I found an admission ticket from Ballymena United FC stamped with the date 7 May 1947. Does anyone know what was the match ?

The definitive archive site is down at the moment - Irish Football Club Project - changing servers, I think.

Fulham were touring at the time, and had played the Glens at the Oval on 5th; although still hadn't concluded their own domestic season.

The Irish League was long over, and so if not Fulham, my money is on another touring side from GB.

The game in question is indeed a Friendly v Fulham (Ballymena won 3-1).

Although Ballymena had played friendlies on 3/5 v Coleraine & 7/5 v Fulham, they then played their final League game away to Glentoran on 12/5/47.
