Just found out that Ron Suart the former Blackpool player and manager passed away on Wednesday.

He had the unenviable task of taking over as manager from Blackpool's greatest ever manager, Joe Smith.

During his time as manager he signed some of the clubs greatest players including Alan Ball, Alan Suddick and Emlyn Hughes.

He later managed Chelsea for a short time.

He was a smashing bloke and very well respected.

RIP Ron.

I had this photo on my site from 2006 till this week and sold it to a Scunthorpe fan. Another manager who is well-remembered wherever he went. 94 - a great age - RIP Ron.

Plus there's this one in somewhat unusual circumstances in his Chelsea days.
