Peterborough United Postponed Games and Friendly Information

I'm looking for information regarding postponed games and if a programme or supplement was issued. Likewise any information on Friendly games played pre 1999. Wondering if anyone can help.

Aston Villa v Posh friendlies

7th March 1966 - at Peterborough - programme issued
August 1983 (exact date no known) - Behind Closed Doors at Bodymoor Heath.

Villa Reserves also played a friendly at Peterborough in the 98-99 season

Three from the 1963/64 season........., Middlesborough 17/8/63, Hapoel ( Tel-Aviv) 2/9/63, Spandauer Sport (Germany) 13/4/64 progs were issued for all three fixtures.

In games beetween Posh and Rovers I know of the following.
30-1-96 Posh v Rov Micky mouse cup area sf, Post, prog issued
13-2-96 Posh v Rov Micky mouse cup area sf, game played, original prog used.
30-12-2000 Rov v Posh Div 2 Post, prog issued
14-3-2001 Rov v Posh Div 2, Post, prog issued.
20-4-2001 Rov v Posh Div 2, game played, prog from 14-3 used again with an outer cover wrapped around.

Don't think we have ever played each oth in a friendly game.

As far as I know we've not had any games against you postponed, nor have we ever played you in any friendlies.

Hi Geddon;

No friendlies between Posh and Swansea, the league game at the Vetch was postponed on a Friday night 30 mins before kick off, due to really heavy rain and a waterlogged pitch , the game was rearranged for the following day. Strange way of doing it, but to gain free admission on the Saturday, the turnstile operators tore your programme in half. Always has been a pretty hard one to get.
I travelled from Peterborough and stayed overnight in a B+B.
