I see Gibraltar are looking to become the 54th member of UEFA and have teams competing in European Competitions during the 2014-15 season. National team would then compete in the qualifying rounds of Euro 2016.

They are also proposing to construct a new National Stadium with a capacity of 8,000.

Anybody know of the standard of football in Gibraltar?

They have two leagues - one of the clubs is called Manchester United! Matt Busby gave them the ok to use the name in 1957.
The national team beat the Faroe Islands 3-0 in a recent friendly.

They also beat the England C team (non-league England team) in 2011 and play friendlies each year against visiting sides, the most recent English ones being Portsmouth and Notts County last summer. Gibraltar won both these games.

It has been confirmed that Gibraltar has been accepted as a full member of UEFA.

They will be allowed to enter qualifying for the 2016 European Championship but will be kept apart from Spain in qualifying groups.

And intend to construct an 8,000 seater stadium in time for these qualifiers.

As I recall, there are extended highlights of a recent friendly on YouTube.
