1.Buy a cardboard tube
2. Roll up the newspaper
3. Stick it in the tube
4. Go to the post office
5. Buy stamps
6. Stick them on the tube

DANGERMAN - If you roll it up it will NOT be folded.

The new owner will just need to remove the Royal Mail slug from the centre page!

Make sure you fold the programme lengthways (you'll need a longer tube of course) otherwise you risk damaging the spine.

Yes, postal tubes are the way forward. My copy was not folded and was sent in a very large envelope, with "" do not bend"" written on it.
But yes, be careful how you roll it up. I'm not really sure which i prefer really. Rolled or flat. Flat is the best of course but not really practical for posting, and the thing is, it could always be accidently folded when placed in the post bag. Where as a rolled newspaper could not really be folded accidently in the post sack, so as long as you roll it carefully i would say the rolling up method is the best. Nod

Postal tubes won't go through the letter box -

I've noticed most sellers tend to post programmes NOT RECORDED and most items slot through the letter box .
Tubes may result in the receiver having to collect items or have them re-posted . Bit of inconvenience really .

Mind you postmen don't like them so i suppose thats a plus ! Laughing

On the other hand - the days when posties could leg it straight home after delivery have gone - thus the temptation to dump things in your dustbin or at the back of your house should be over . Wave

Tenner !! surely you mean a Tenner loss and he wont need to wait till 2014 to make that. The point of this tale is don't buy crap like that at auctions.

Very Happy
