No way. It is a cynical marketing ploy as red sells better in Malaysia or whatever. They have no respect for tradition when the glint of money is in their eyes."Bluebirds, bluebirds, bluebirds." I

Makes me laugh that red sells better in Malaysia/Asia, no disrespect to Orient, but have they sold many there??? I always thought majority of football shirts in Asia are fakes anyway so no money to be made there then!!!

Maybe they want a colour to reflect their bank balance !!!! Ha Ha

Couldnt put it better myself - crazy thing on reading a few tweets the players have known about it for months...hence one of them saying that they were going to a photoshoot at the end of april - turned out to be one of the players modelling the kit today !

Wave Cardiff City for the moment....hopefully when the malays have made there millions they will bugger off and we can return to playing in blue with our proper badge

Just checked out the cardiff city forum and a few fans are going mental, but the majority i have read don't seem that bothered. I think they are more upset with the badge. I mean look at the Sport Direct Arena, (?) , they all go on about the history, but a decent season and all that history means nothing. Fans are very fickle, if Newcastle were relegated i bet the name change would be a massive thing. Same with some Cardiff fans, i think if the owners get promotion the change of shirt colour will be forgotten.

It's a shame but not much tradition left. The FA cup final used to be the only game on that day in England and always kicked off at 3pm, England goalies only wore yellow jumpers, teams played in their traditional strip unless there was a colour clash(why did England not play in white against Norway?). It's all gone out the window and when these foreign owners have got bored with their little toys and taken their bats home, what then? maybe a return to old traditions, divisions 1,2,3,& 4, clubs playing in the colours we all expect and all clubs in with an even chance of winning the title. Now that would be something.

And what next,Liverpool in blue,Man city in red,Sunderland in black and white stripes. Rangers in green and white hoops, Wednesday and Newcastle in red and white stripes, the list is endless. Even joey barton(lower case intended) might show sowe humility Shake

I suppose if it means paying off the clubs debt which run into tens of millions, it must be a good thing.

Football clubs are just not run like a normal business, mark my words a big one will fall sooner or later.......

I suppose I'm not the most qualified on here to talk about this but here's my two cents worth.

I'm not from Cardiff, not even Welsh but I have been a supporter since 1987 and I attended my first game in October 1990 (v Wrexham) so according to the main Cardiff City forum I qualify as a "plastic", which they all seem to fear and dispise!

The modern Cardiff fan has been spoiled to a certain extent, long spell in the Chamionship and multiple trips to Wembley and in order for this to continue including making the next step to the Premier League ,what is the alternative?

I completely understand Matts frustrations but can anyone offer a better solution? Let's be honest Cardiff punched above their weight last season and would be lucky to finish in the top half next season with the same team?

Having said that, whoever designed the new kit and badge should be sacked? my five year old could do better. Joe Masons face sums it up perfectly.

To end with I am slightly nervous that all the information is not out there? Things that worry me are £100 mil investment is now down to 10? If Cardiff don't strengthen enough over the summer AND don't get off to a good start then the Cardiff City Stadium ain't gonna be a nice place to be in....

Again this is just my honest opinion...

My club did it in 2002/03. Sold our souls is what we did.

But back to normal now and back in the league.
