Can any Everton collectors throw any light on the following Everton medal I've had for several years

It is worn, but is inscribed GLOBE CUP 1893 won by EVERTON Club and around the outside, around the baseball player is marked English Baseball Association.

I know that some league clubs around that time, Derby, Baseball ground, had teams. I have tried over the years to find out more about this competition, but to no avail. If there are any baseball enthusiasts out there, could they give me the rundown on this competition, ie teams involved, etc.

Have you tried emailing the english baseball association at [email protected]? They're based in liverpool so might well know something about it or be able to pointy you in the right direction
