I know they're not programmes, but I just wanted some advice on value of the following:

•Football Parade, Presented by Stanley Matthews, Hardback, 1951? (Sl. Wear on cover, otherwise ok cond.) SIGNED INSIDE FRONT COVER BY STANLEY MATTHEWS
•The Big Book of Football Champions, Hardback, 1956? (VGC) SIGNED INSIDE COVER BY TOM FINNEY

If there is any value to them, I would assume that the best way to sell them would be at auction? Any help appreciated, thanks.

Mick, both Tom and Stan were prolific signers of everything and anything, they were gents, and you can actually tell it was them who signed things, as opposed to the semi literate fools who squiggle shite reluctantly nowadays.
The above though, does not mean they are not collectable, although the only people I assume buying multiple signatures of Stanley Matthews would be a dealer to pass on anyway.
Best of luck with them, and you may care to let the Celtic Viking know you've got them - he's got a huge collection of autographs.

John, thanks for the advice. You're right, a dealer may want them to sell on, but not sure I would want soemone to butcher the books, as I had thought of doing that myslef, but then thought that it didnt seem right. Thinkt he best thing to do is to sell them individually oiver a period of time, may even keep some.

Celtic Viking, if you are interested in the Stanley Matthews autograph, let me know.Cheers, Mick.
