does any1 collect newspaer articles and things newspaper like of there team.

Dont really collect them but if I come across any I just have to keep them.
Generaly keep cuttings inside the prog from the game they releat to.

I collect 1966 world cup newspapers and articles/newspapers relating to the 1958 Munich air crash. Makes fascinating reading.

i have many newspaper issues maninly european aways that celtic have played where no offical programme was issued .. for example
barcelona celtic 1964 newspaper issue
benfica celtic 1969
vitoria guiamres 1998

Always interested in match reports v pompey.
Have most from 1979 to date.
missing some from 46 to 59/60 & 61/62 to 64/65.

Great post Red, i am not a collector as such ,but i do have over 100 Sporting Stars Football Pink (Wolverhampton) from my time attending games on a regular basis at Wolves 1967 to 75 , thay are an amazing read in takeing a trip down memorie lane . i have picked up the odd one recently of ebay and thay can sell for upwards of £10. Sadly no longer a feature of the match day experience S/S stoped printing this last season.
I used to hang around The Molineux after the game for a 6 oclock issue,great read on train back to liverpool.

Hi Mate, long shot i know but do you have any unwanted match reports from the 1957/58 season and ,is there a chance you could photo copy any for me. Looking for ANY dater re the late Derek Dougan Pompey player 57 to 59.

Im very much like my celtic friend in that as i attend euroaway games i pick up differing newspapers before and after the game especially if no programme available have started picking up old newspapers from abroad from 50s and 60s as my collection is reaching the point of being ultra expensive or very hard to find even tickets are proving elusive champions 2010 Easy

I have a few match reports, mainly from derby games that Wednesday won, I also have the Daily Mirror that devoted it's entire front and back page to Wednesday when we won promotion in 2005, and the Sunday Mirror with Mark Aston holding aloft the Challenge Cup after Sheffield Eagles hammered Wigan in 1998

The evening post is pretty good with season review type papers, so I've got quite a few of those from this decade (it's been an eventful one!), as well as the odd paper for some match reports, but I don't particularly collect them.

Does anyone put match report cuttings inside programmes? I've bought a few that had them in and they're quite nice to have as usually you have no idea about the game other than the score and what it might say in a programme the following week. I'd quite like to do that but might be quite difficult for every one, but I have been thinking about just printing off a small piece of card with the team, score, attendance etc. and putting it inside each one.
