I will watch on the box, my heart telling me that Spurs have some hope but my head telling me there is only one winner!
Just hoped a Liverpool fan may have a spare ticket stub to sell. Not an e ticket but the proper paper version.
Please contact me if you have one and let me know price required.
Many thanks Cliff

Cliff, grandson is going to the game with his pal, but his ticket is on his phone . They are going to keep an eye out for a paper one for you.

That's very kind, thank you.
Sometimes clubs will give you a paper ticket if you request one after you show them the one On your phone. A bit of a nuisance to do all of that though.
Cheers Cliff

Hi Cliff

Usually the away end and hospitality are the only paper tickets left at Anfield unfortunately. If you get inundated with tickets from the game could you get in touch as I need one also

Thanks John

Hi John, Nothing as yet.
Some clubs let you exchange your e ticket for the real thing if you take it to the ticket office.
No idea if Liverpool do that.
Cheers Cliff

The majority of Premier League clubs are digital tickets only now.

I am one of a very small number (>30) of Palace fans who still collects printed tickets at away games where tickets are 'digital only'. It's a bit of a faff sometimes having to locate the collection point and bring photo ID, plus arrive early in order to collect.

In 1-3 years time there may not even be such an option to arrange printed tickets for collection at away grounds.

In one respect it is sad for those whose hobby is collecting actual tickets.

In another respect it will be sad for the remaining small number of fans who cannot cope with smartphone apps and digital ticketing.

I hope you find a ticket somehow Basil

Thanks and I agree collecting tickets is becoming increasingly difficult and I might add expensive.
I wonder how long it is in the future before both printed tickets and indeed programmes are a thing of the past.

When I buy tickets for Dorking Wanderers matches (National League South), 99% of the time they are 'print at home

In other words I buy online and print it out on a sheet of A4. I can cope with that absolutely fine. I think that will be here to stay for lower level clubs, as it's minimal work for the clubs that do that.

At the very top levels, clubs have to deal with touting / unauthorised reselling and they think that digital ticketing helps combat this.

From speaking to fans who use digital tickets, they say touts find them easy to transfer, so something doesn't add up.

Paper tickets are very close to being consigned to history.

Scotland home games, tickets are now supplied via an app and I can't be bothered tracking down the odd printed hospitality ticket. For away games they are few and far between, the last proper printed ticket for away fans was 2023.

Hearts still make printed tickets available but that may not last much longer, although I only collect European games.

Tickets from Thursday night are definitely out there.

One sold last night on Ebay for £20.

So, if there's one.....etc

Good luck Cliff.
I hope you find one and I equally hope our team finds some backbone before the trip to Villa tomorrow!! Sad

Hi, So right about a backbone. Thursday was dreadful in terms of commitment. The midfield three did not make a single tackle, failed to close down and consistently gave the ball away. Nothing up front either.
I have seen printed tickets from wallets and e tickets but nothing else. I checked ebay and there is not even a single ticket for sale for any domestic game at Anfield.
How can I check on ebay to look for the ticket that sold last night?
Many thanks Cliff

I agree.

The midfield put in less tackles than I did from my sofa!!

Forwards were invisible.....Kula turned back EVERY time he got the ball (don't like slagging him because he's usually ok).

Ball retention was pathetic all night from the lot of them.

Must wake up tomorrow or Ange may not survive. Personally I think he's gone in the summer anyway.

Here's the link for the one that sold. It's huge, but copy and paste it into your task bar and it'll come up.

Hi, Thanks but that ticket is for the game at Tottenham, the first leg. Happier memories of that than Anfield!!!

Still try and collect all the League Cup Semi progs and tickets for the games, but for reasons stated previous, getting tickets is not easy now. No paper tickets were issued by any of this seasons 4 competing clubs.
I was fortunate to get the Ebay one for the Spurs v Liverpool game. The EBay listing was after game ended, and I got lucky as first to spot it !!!. Seller asked the Ticket Office for a paper one which they gave him. He also managed to get me one for game at Anfield.

Know I've been very fortunate to get those two, and resigned really to fact that those 2 paper tickets may well be last ones I get to supplement my Semi programme collection. Didn't get anything for the other Semi matches

Thanks.
