This was the season that I decided to stop collecting, but I think I have missed out on a very special season. not only were we champions of league 1 in our 125th anniversary season, but to celebrate it, the front cover of every programme this season is based on a previous season. The special celebration issue for the last home game against Wigan, is based on the front cover of the last match of 1948/49 season. There is also a pull-out poster featuring all of this seasons programme covers.
If you're looking for something special to collect, this season will take some beating. I did actually by the final one, plus an one earlier in the season, which, after 57 seasons, mentioned me!
