This will take place on Sunday 21 April 2024 from 10.30am to 2pm in the Forever Rs bar at Loftus Road. It's the first fair to be held at the club since May 1986.

Dealers specialising in programmes, handbooks, shirts, cards, Subutteo and other memorabilia will all be present.

Good to see a new fair. Good luck with the venture.
With the high expense of postage hopefully fairs can become more popular. How often do you see a £1 programme on EBay with a postage charge of £1.95, no wonder low value items don’t sell. Go to a fair and hopefully save a fortune on post costs.

So so true. Thanks! We really hope that the fair is a success. I have been told that there were 105 attendees at the West London fair last Sunday - a record for that fair - so fingers crossed. Obviously that is a long standing and very well known event so it's not really comparable. We are delighted to also have the club's support of course.

It would also be good to see a younger generation of fans and collectors emerge. I was 11 when I attended my first fair in 1975. That makes me feel VERY old!

Thanks Nick! We have 10 dealers and fans selling plus 5 authors selling their books. It should be a good day!

Hi Martin,
I managed to get over to the fair,
Spent an hour or so browsing about and picked up a couple of bits and bobs.
Seemed very busy when I was there (11 -12ish), what was the turn out?
and I know its a bit early but have you got another one in the pipeline (or considering one) at Loftus Road in the future?

Thought I'd give Martin a chance to respond but I guess he is otherwise occupied.

There were 99 through the door. I have chatted to a few of the dealers offline afterwards. Some did quite well while others made a number of sales, though predominantly QPR items as opposed to the remainder that they had. One had a rosette plus some other memorabilia that was sold almost immediately after opening and then did not really sell much after that. I feel that most who came in were QPR fans as opposed to general fans that you may find at, say, the West London Fair.

What made the fair extra special for those there was the unexpected arrival of two of the current QPR players, one bringing his son along. They then participated in the draw for the various raffle prizes.

I do believe that Martin and the other organisers felt this was definitely a success and that a future fair will be organised, but not sure it will be this year.

Hi ndg1860,
Thanks for your reply/report.
I left just before 12 so missed the draw.
99 attendees in my opinion was a very good turn out, so hopefully that shows that a fair is feasible at Loftus Road in the future.
Cheers.
