Have been advised that Salford City will not be producing for the new season.

They always promise a super duper improved website experience as if it is some sort of compensation

I accept that unless there are programme devotees at clubs then the writing is on the wall for the printed programme at lower levels.

Digital programmes would always be my preference if a club cannot do printed ones any more. Then I can get my own copy printed.

Generously distributed teamsheets are also very welcome as a substitute. Clubs could also easily put teamsheets on their website so fans can download and print their own copy off

I also filled in the Port Vale feedback form with my suggestions but I expect their consultation is merely a box ticking exercise

After what happened last week, technology could just disappear with a whimper and all these so called techies will be out of a job.
If a club doesn't produce I'll not go.
Might have to rely on the eastern European bedroom bandits!

Fleetwood Town definitely producing on a trial basis this season, though league games only at this stage. £3 cover price 28 pages - being produced on behalf of the club by the Community Trust. Trial issue v Hearts for last Saturday's friendly - sold out well before kick off though most of crowd were Hearts fans.

From Port Vale website 19th July

Matchday Programme

Over the past three seasons, the club has faced significant losses (around £30,000 per season) from the matchday programme in its current format. To address this, matchday programmes will now be reserved for special occasions, such as annual events and significant fixtures.

Due to rising production costs and the economic climate, we feel this is a necessary change and, importantly, one that was supported by the majority of those who completed our recent email survey.

My lot Notts County have now discontinued producing
programmes from the forthcoming 2024/2025 season.

My sympathies mate

Usual waffle there, environmental impact, improving the dynamic website blah blah

Doesn't look like you will even get digital only ones (which you can print yourselves) as a comprimise

My club Dorking Wanderers aren't doing printed, but are at least doing digital, which I will get a copy of each printed for my collection

Hope you can get something arranged to get a teamsheet each game at least?

Hi mate.

Been on the cards for a couple of years now but still sad news to see it
announced. Part of my matchday experience and collecting since my first game in 1968 !! You know how keen I am in that regard from my pursuit of the Dorking away programme !! While I know we are in different digital times, I am led to believe from a extremely reliable source that the club still made money from the programme last season, and with our much increased crowds from last season, timing seems odd. Hopefully may come back one day, but for now it's away programmes only.

Good luck for coming season. Will be watching how you go for sure.

An unofficial programme is being done by Curtis Sports.

I have been made aware of that thanks. May well buy it, but perhaps for me at least, not the same as getting Official publications.
