After a number of health problems for both me and my family, the time has come to think about disposing of my programme collection. My main concern is that they go to a good home rather than end up in a skip, a little bit of money would come in handy, but is not the most important thing.

I don't want to faff about with e-bay, I would prefer to get rid of whole seasons at a time.

Do you have any Tottenham programmes from the 1946/47 season to the 1951/52 season?

Would you consider donating the lot to a local library or museum (assuming you can find somewhere willing to take them, store them, catalogue them), could be a great legacy to leave to the community.

I am going through a similar exercise with my Argyle collection...heart attack ( mild) and wife with an itchy skip finger.

Looking at your list there may well be some gemns in there ..especuially if you have United at Pompey in the late 40's and also some of the friendlies.

I would try and contact Chris Gibbs...he runs a programme fair at Pompey and i think is connected to the memorabilia society.

One thing I will say is that I have had more enjoyment and activity selling my collection that in the twenty years or so of assembling it....where I mainly looked at lists of what I needed....

eBay is still the best way of maximising the rare stuff.....but time consuming.

Best of luck with it. Now can we have the three points on Saturday please?

Smile

Peter
