In this current barren period I took to wondering where you can sneek a peak of a league game. At my local club Northampton, you can see about 2/3 of the pitch and one goal from the overlooking bank. Apparently several hundred people are doing this every week. My memory of my one visit to the Pirrelli stadium seems to be that there are open corners with gates similar with Mansfield Town, any suggestions.
John Portsmouth Football Westwood, famously went with a load of mates to the play-off semi-final at the Kassam Stadium, with a flat bed truck and a load of pallets and watched the match from the open end. |

Farmersboy,, The best free view in sport has got to be The Roodee Racecourse , Chester. From the walls surrounding it you are looking down on the finishing straight . Put your 10p each-way Yankee on in town, take your butties and flask of tea. ( l think beer is banned on the streets of Chester?) and have a great afternoon for very little. Now , originally this was the site of The Goteddsday football match in 1533. . We all all know it now as that Shrove Tuesday free- for - all punch up thing.. Apparently the Goteddsday football match was so violent( they even used a wooden ball!) it was banned and replaced with horse racing. I did have the match programme from the 1533 fixture, l think it was Chester v The Whole of North Wales,, but is was so tedious, just full of adverts for bows and arrows, battle axes and ‘Wench of The Month ‘ competitions that l swopped it for for some modern day Preston North End programmes. I think l got the better deal |

Make friends with one of those people in the flats at the corner of Brisbane Road (if the ground's still called that).
Back in the 70s, used to be able to stand on a wall at the "Broad Hill" overlooking Pittodrie and see half the ground.
Wouldn't like to try it now, though. I was steadier on my feet in those days.
Aren't there skysrapers overlooking Halifax's ground? _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/derby1884/sets/ |

Not wishing to rub it in, but Division 3 football in France is allowing in Supporters.
I acknowledge crowds are below 5,000 at my team US Boulogne CO.
The photo was taken last week.
Let’s hope it stays that way!
Stay safe.
