My collection is Wednesday homes against foreign opps and 3rd party/neutral/semi's at Hillsborough.

I'm down to the last 20 or so which are either relatively expensive or just not available.

Now I was advised 2 weeks ago, by word of mouth from the Wednesday historian, of a forgotten game at hillsborough from 1959. Its Yorkshire Boys clubs v Westphalia boys clubs, Germany. I suspected it was a game played with no such programme produced.

Got an email over the weekend from a friend of a friends mum. Found some programmes in the loft, not very good conditon, mainly Wednesday, come and get them for nowt!

You can guess the rest. Its not in perfect condition, and I suspect its worth no more than £2 to any normal collector, but to me.....priceless!

If I knew how to scan a copy on, I would do.

Although its probably only worth £2 to the rest of the world, its priceless and so satisfying to know that you saved a collection of programmes from the bin, and its one less off your list.

What a gorgeous old programme, a real curiosity and a great find. I wonder how many were at Hillsborough that day?

The programme is hand typed not printed, and the picture on the cover is possibly either hand drawn or copied from a printers stamp.

Talking to tcno10, and he's never seen one before and suspects that there probably as little as 20 produced.

No record of the attendance but probably 100 or less.

I have a similar programme from Ayresome Park April 1956. Again it's a Yorkshire Association of Boys clubs issue for an anglo-german football exchange.

There may have been an exchange each year in the 50's?

The programme also indicates games would be played at Whitby, Frickley Colliery and Altofts Welfare Ground during April between various Yorkshire boys / youth teams and there German counterparts.

Does anybody else have similar programmes?

Cologne Schoolboys used to play at Goodison in the late 70s early 80s - I have a couple
