I just wanted to say thank you to forum members for their help and advice regarding this thread. It was the first time I have had to ring eBay and it was refreshing to deal with someone who talked sense and ultimately I have just found out that my case has been closed in my favour. The whole situation was very bizarre and I am relieved that common sense has prevailed as the buyer has made no effort to prove their case. Fingers crossed nothing more comes of this, but could someone be kind enough to pm me to explain how to block a buyer as I don’t want to risk any messages coming my way.....

All done thanks, I just didn’t know whether it was in everyone’s interest to labour the thread plus I was trying to be discrete although I agree with hindsight that this may be helpful or useful for others on this forum

I have said in the past that Ebay should have a link clearly visible on every Ebay member profile that would show when as a buyer that Ebay member had reported an item hadn't arrived. This could also include comments from the seller. This may not stop the problem entirely but it would make the unscrupulous buyer think twice and would also give sellers a clear view of what they were up against. Any patterns of reporting items not arriving by the Ebay member would instantly be visible.

are you doing anything about rampant “item not delivered” fraud on eBay? @eBay_UK
encourages this by automatically refunding any claims of non-delivery where ordinary post is used. It does no investigation & considers nothing except lack of tracking.
