Hi Liam, sorry to hear about this. Is there something that has happened to make you want to delete as your posts are often bitingly witty and always welcomed. If it's something you don't wish to share with the wider public but might not mind doing so with an administrator, am happy to offer my services if needed?

John

Appreciate the kind words John, thanks.

I feel it's time to bid farewell though, life's too short to allow myself to get wound up on forums. If something is no longer enjoyable, I find it's easiest & best all round to remove it altogether.

Hence I've enjoyed my time but would prefer to rub along without being part of it anymore.

All the best to everyone,
Liam.

I will keep in touch with you liam, it's been great having you on here and you have helped me alot.

On the subject of leaving, I've been having similar thoughts myself, don't come on here much anymore and with recently buying a house I won't be spending much on badges. Also had thoughts about leaving flickr to because 1. I don't have much to post anymore 2. I struggle to find the motivation to post anything when I do buy something and 3. I don't feel I attract much attention (I could be wrong), there great collections out there on Flickr, yours included liam and I think it a struggle to match them. I still love badge collecting don't get me wrong but other commitments and that are taking my focus away from it for now.

This is a real shame, without wanting to offend anyone else, you are my favourite poster, and probably the only person that 'understands' how I feel about collecting match badges, and other random tat. It can be an obsession and it is always good to have someone else on here that gets it.

I've got your email and will stay in touch. Sad

Can I echo the above?
You will be missed you have always been honest and helpful.
Would like to stay in touch if willing to pm your email?
If not, thanks for the help over the years Thumbs Up

Hi mate, instead of deleting your account just don't use it for a while. Who knows in a couple of weeks or months you may feel better about things. And I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that when ever you feel like posting again this forum will be the better for it.

Bloody hell Wiggy, who do l have to spout my nostalgic nonsense to now? Being serious, just to echo what the others have said. Your contributions are sometimes a bit naughty, but they are always inciteful and entertaining. Was it Turdgate that did it? If you have the time , and the inclination, l think you should consider putting a book together. Something along the lines of : ‘ From Newport To Liverpool’ , documenting the ups and downs of following the two teams through the years. You have got the writing talent and the originality to do it. Hopefully , one of these days , we will get together and have a few pints of Wrexham lager in one of those Newport ale houses. All the best Wiggy, your mate Pie.

Good advice here Wiggy.
I can't delete your account.
All I could do is "ban" you and I don't want to do that to a valued member.

Would be sad to see you go so maybe just take a rest from the forum for a while and see how you feel.

Cheers, Jamie.

What's brought this on, am I missing something? Forum has been fairly settled for a while now.

As soon as this this was posted, I contacted Wiggy directly.

Now, as the thread has gathered pace, I'll comment here.

It's really sad when a forum loses a really valuable member.
Wiggy can be to the point at times, but he's not nasty and overall his posts are humorous and knowledgeable.
As Eck says, let the bad guys leave and keep the good ones.

I understand Wiggy's reasons for his decision, but hope that he takes some time out as others have advised and returns.

Look at the posts on this thread Wiggy.
You've got more tributes than Arsene Wenger has received upon leaving the Gooners!!

Again, I agree with others. The k**bheads have been removed over the years and all current contributions are valued and welcomed.

Sorry to see you want to leave but respect your right to do so if you feel you are not enjoying being part of the forum any more.

Appreciate the help, advice and encouragement you have given me with my new obsession of collecting badges. Great to find someone with similar interests who is willing to help a fellow collector. Bow

Many thanks for all the kind comments guys, I'm a bit humbled.

If I'm annoying people and they're annoying me, I find a clean break is probably for the best - but as I can't delete my account, I'll instead take some time out and hopefully I might feel differently sometime down the line.

Thanks again all.
