Spammy? Wow!!!
I am Chairman at Heswall FC and the programme is asked about is from the last time we won the Pyke Cup in 1997, a competition we reached the final of on saturday.

Perhaps challenging people who enquire about things in such a way will create a barrier as this has hardly been a friendly welcome.

If the programme i asked about is available then I want to buy it.

There was no need for sarcasm to a new member, how many new people ever join anyway. I had a post on here from 2010 and it has appeared again with someone asking a value for an item nearly 16 years later, i did not jump on the guy making look bad, the guy just joined he was not around 7 years ago.

This is the first time I've used this site and to be quite honest, will be the last. I am always keen to engage with programme collectors, shirt enthusiasts. Ground hoppers etc and love to bring people to my club but this just shows the snobbery that goes with some of it! A simple comment saying, hi mate you may want to identify which programme would have been more appropriate and readily accepted. If you have had a bad experience with Spammers then I suggest you do tour bit in welcoming genuine members and not chase people away. Very negative experience here for me and it saddens me that as someone who works hard to create a wholly inclusive and welcoming environment at my club. [/code]
