If you were the Manager of a Club and Christian wanted to take a Penalty, would you let him?

The answer is not with a bargepole.

This week he became the first player to have failed to score with two first-half penalties in one Premier League season since ............ Christian Benteke in 2013/14 (for Aston Villa).

He's a big lad - getting the ball off him might be a problem!

Penalties look easy(ish) on the telly - but I missed one in a Works Cup Final a long time ago and I know how small that goal looks and how big that goalie looks as you step up to the ball!

All 4 of his pens for Palace this season have been taken softly - 3 rolled in and 1 attempted chip.

Unsuprisingly he's only scored 2 from that 4

Allardyce is no way gonna let him take any more, he can argue with Joe 'The Beard' Ledley if he has a problem with it!

Allardyce said he wanted a pen taker like Mark Noble at West Ham who scored something like 26 out of 27

When we're struggling, we can ill afford to throw away pens, as we're not exactly thrashing anyone !!
