Hi all
I am afraid I know very little about badges but recently acquired this badge, can anyone confirm whether they have come across one before and also the Aldershot reference? Is it army related?
Thanks for any help Thumbs Up

Apologies
I realise that Aldershot Philiips is now the maker.
Curious still if anyone has anything similar?
Thank you

Phillips of Aldershot were also the original manufacturers of the miniature Charity Shield Plaques that were handed out to all participating players. The plaque was the same for winners or losers.

There are a couple of original plaques on this link https://flic.kr/s/aHsjeAxWJW and Phillips also produced the Winners and Losers Plaques for the early days of the F.A. Youth Cup and again here are some examples of those, but the Youth Cup Winners were produced in Silver and the losers were just a base metal coloured Bronze.

Sorry to take the topic away from the (lovely) ribbon badge, but do Charity (Community) Shield participants still get the little miniature shield these days instead of a medal?

Remember seeing a pic of Tony Adams showing off his medals and caps about 20 years ago and he had a few of the little shields, would be nice if the FA kept up with the tradition.
