First off the attendences wouldn't fall, like a previous person said, but wouldn't they increase? Surely people are more willing to spend money to see there team play man u, even if it is a youth side (remember there will still be some of there top player's who are coming back to fitness).
As for the money, aren't most league 1 and league 2 teams close to going into the red (all it takes is one/two bad seasons). So if each team were given 1-2 million, then they'd be more safe money wise. (remember Aldershot almost went under, then Roman Abramovich bought there training ground for a stupid amount of money (about £2 million), so they could stay in the league)
And theres the rule in the JPT where you HAVE to play your best team in the competition, which might not include any of the loaned players from the premier league clubs (if you don't play your best team you get a hefty fine)

But yeah, that's all I can think of, to support the idea.

No idea where aldershot and abramovich comes into it, but Chelsea bought kingsmeadow, what was Kingstonians ground and now AFC Wimbledon's, not aldershot's training ground. So they've effectively thrown out the K's.

Now, the XI that take to the field, first off, have to have 6 players from the previous league match starting the game, IIRC. Loan players can play but it'll be up to the parent clubs if they can take part.

As for attendances, yes, some may go up as the first season will be a novelty, but the rounds are regional and so you may find the novelty wears off pretty quickly. Non league clubs did take part, but their inclusion was ended as they found the money gained wasn't worth it.

It's a competition for the two divisions and their clubs that don't normally get the opportunity to get to Wembley, it's survived the last 30 years ok, it'll survive the next 30 years.
Brentford and Wigan contested the first final in 1985, at Wembley, Brentford had circa 25,000 there (they all come out the woodwork when there's glory to be had!) but I and many other regulars loved the spectacle.

I seriously hope that the football league deny the premier league the right to enter under 21 sides into the competition. Whether there's a £1m, £2m, or whatever prize, tagged to the competition to be shared around. It's wrong.

Roman Abramovich did buy the Aldershot training ground for Chelsea's reserve team to train on (google it, if you don't believe). They managed to stay up for a season before getting relegated, if they got relegated the previous season it's believed they'd have been in major debt and might have not existed anymore. So if all the league 1/2 clubs were given 2 million, they'd all be a lot more safe from going into serious debt. I agree the attendences would only 'spike' for the first 2 seasons, and after that would probably eventually decrease.
Didn't know about the 6 players from the previous game (thought it was more), so that point is now basically pointless. But If you can only change 5 players max, who are they going to put on, a player who you could sell for a million if he gets some game time, or a loan player who you, theoretically, gain nothing from playing.

Also on a different point if you were offered £2 million to not watch your team at Wembley ever again, would you take it?

Remember I agree that the u21's shouldn't be allowed in the JPT. Even though they need to alter the u21 league.

I think you're getting mixed up with a deal Chelsea did with Aldershot for their reserves to play at the Recreation Ground. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/spo.....ation.html I've never seen anything re the Shots training ground.

As I said, Chelsea purchased Kingsmeadow for £2m.

Chelsea have their own huge training facility in Cobham where everyone trains.

No. I hope Clubs in the lower two divisions never accept this. Brentford may be in the Championship, at present, but we'll be back, as many other clubs find out. Enjoy the moment.
