Good afternnon gents,
Since my first post on this topic nearly two years have past and I now have a sizeable collection of Steward badges. As a collector, it won't come as a surprise to you that I've also started buying the Superindent badges as well. My question is this, what is the first year of the enamel Superindent badges? I can't seem to find anything further back that 1947.

Hi Scott 1947 was the first superintendent badge and ran till spring 1983 i know of 69 different badges plus a separate bar superintendent badge for early years worn with the stewards badge. On the stewards side they ran from 1923 till spring 1983 and i know of 85 different ones many thanks john

John, thanks for your response, on the subject of Steward badges I've been informed that there wasn't a badge for 1924 can you shed any light on the reason why?

Hi scott there was not a badge for 1924 the only thing i can think of is the exhibition was on that year and it got over looked (ive used a 1924 exhibition badge to fill the space).How many do you have out of the 154 they made this does not include and badges made for individual games cheers john ps i have 61

Was there a stewards badge for 1945/46 plus war years

I'd love to see a photo of what you have unfortunately I'm a 47 year old technophobe, so I'm just about to google What's app.

Hi John, firstly many thanks for posting your pictures, what a lovely collection and more comprehensive than mine especially around the 20's & 30's. I've been using the enclosed Bonhams picture as a reference point for photos for the Steward Badges, unfortunately I've not come across anything as comprehensive for the Superintendent collection.

Can I ask what you are using to present your collection? is it something you've had made up yourself or purchased?

I'm thinking of asking a local cabinet maker to make me something bespoke, but as the clasps are different on 1 or 2 ( e.g. 1950 Steward Badge) i've held back until I've acquired a few more. I think I'd like to put them on the wall in my " man cave" when I've completed the collection.
