Can't see another thread for images of friendly programmes from this pre-season so thought I would start one off...

Wrexham began with a 7-1 win over local non-league side Lex Glyndwr. The programme was priced £1 for 12 A5 sized pages.

I am surprised no one has added to this thread.

Does no one bother going away to friendlies anymore?

Usually the highlight of the season for me especially if there are some new grounds.

Here is one from Blackpool's friendly at Lancaster's Giant Axe ground.

A hefty 52 page issue priced at £2 but included in the admission price.

Lancaster didn't expect the 100s of travelling fans and the programmes had all gone before 2.30.

And here is one from Blackpool's first ever visit to Blyth Spartans Croft Park.

An excellent 32 page programme was issued priced at £2.

And Blyth has one of the best Wetherspoons I have been in, a former cinema.

Next stop Perth for Saturday's visit to St Johnstone.

On the 14th Rovers made the short trip to Cirencester Town. They issued a tidy A5 programme costing £1.50 with 20 pages.

The following day we met Mangotsfield United. It's on the outskirts of Bristol about a 15 min walk from my house.
Have any of you done this before. I have seen us play the mighty Mangoes god knows how many times so couldn't be bothered to go. BUT! I still nipped down to the ground to buy the programme. How sad is that!
Another A5 issue that had 12 pages and cost £1.50.

Thanks for adding some images, I was beginning to feel lonely! Few more aways from Wrexham's pre-season, great to see some of the small clubs issuing:

Colwyn Bay: 20 pages, A5

Gresford Athletic: 24 pages, A5

Tamworth: 8 pages, A5

Conwy Borough: A3 s/s folded twice to A5 size, given out free on entry to the ground.

Three of FC United's first pre-season friendlies, all of which are impressive issues for non-competitive games featuring non-league sides.

Hereford FC issued a 48 programme for their first home match since forming (they had beaten Malvern away 4 days previously). The programme also covered the game against WBA. They are quite easy to get hold of but are still going for £10 a pop on eBay!

Next up was a visit to Sheffield FC who issued a full colour 32 page programme:

Last Saturday FC United visited Buxton who issued a 28 page programme:

I'd be interested in taking a small number of the Wrexham and FC United issues home and away if anyone can help?

Great thread. I really should learn how to use my scanner. Scunthorpe playing two home friendlies which are covered by one programme. Played on Bolton on Friday night, which saw a crowd of just over 1700, 200ish from BWFC. Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday 29th is the second game. Owl's are expecting to bring around 1000, according to a source at SWFC. Half the print run has been put aside for the Owl's, so hoping no one misses out.

16 page programme priced £2 from Blackpool's first ever visit to St Johnstone's McDiarmid Park stadium.

Unfortunately today's friendly at Morecambe is being played behind closed doors.

FC United of Manchester played at Barnoldswick Town (44 pages) last Thursday and then Whitby Town (52 pages) on the Saturday. Impressive full programmes issued for both games.

Programme from Barry Smith`s (ex Dundee boss) first home match as the new Shots boss ends in a 1-5 defeat against a extremely fluent passing Chelsea U21 side.

16 Page programme was £1.00 (also covers the ATFC v Wycombe friendly on Saturday) so good value overall but it did not include a fixture list for the coming season, has Chris Barker on the cover, ex Cardiff & Southend now ATFC Assistant Manager)

Admission/Entrance fee at the turnstiles was £10.00!!! (a bit over the top for a Pre-Season friendly though).

Here's one on Ebay of Cheltenham v Cardiff City for £7.50! I can't read the price on the programme but it's not more than £2-£3. And for Cardiff it's just a Development squad.
