Been looking around the site and there seems to be a lot of negativity floating around regarding the prices other people charge for certain programmes. Some of the comments made are insulting and personal to individuals which leads to bitchy encounters which to be honest are not needed.

Anyone who collects programmes gets to know the value of their targets through experience and asking other members for their views on ones they are not sure about.

Dealers have the right to sell their programmes at what ever price they like, If they overprice then chances are they wont sell them. If they do sell them then good luck to them, somebody was happy to pay that price so what's the issue?

I see a growing amount of members on here constantly moaning that this bloke is charging this and this bloke is charging that. For gods sake mind your own business and ignore them if they bother you so much.

Maybe it is because they have nothing else of interest to say regarding this fantastic hobby other than negative unwanted moaning. Come on folks enjoy the hobby not destroy it.

I totally agree, sure some programmes are well over priced, but like you say...if someone is happy to pay that amount then there shouldn't be any problem. If I see a programme I need for my collection and I think its overpriced, I'll make the seller an offer, if he says no then I just carry on looking.

Quite simple really. Pay what you think something is worth , what you can afford. Dealers can charge what they like, ( even this bloke http://www.collectsoccer.com/acatalog/Programmes.html ) , but at the end of the day it's up to you what you pay.

About a month ago I listed a few Arsenal homes from the 80's.
The standard "v whoever" league game nothing special, hoping to get 99p for it.
When the auction finished at £12 I was gobsmacked.
If I saw this programme offered on a forum or dealers website for £10 I'd soon stop reading, but this ebay sale just showed how there is no specific price even for the bog standard ones.
