Can anyone shed some light on this programme?

BRADFORD PARK AVE V LEEDS UTD FRI 2ND JAN 1970.

Is it a common programme and why was it played?
I have tried googling the fixture but no info comes up.

Mid season Friendly believe from BPA's last league season.

Been on ebay a few times, although not recently. Seen it go for anywhere between £20 to £40.

I seem to remember sending you a pm about 2 weeks ago, re Anderlecht v Man Utd information you were after, my message started with ''hi'' and ended in ''regards'' and was about 10 lines long and i never got no reply or anything = Practice what you preach mate.

The programme concerned is Bradford PA vs Leeds Utd XI dated 2 Jan 1970 (Friday evening - 7.30 KO) The Leeds team was a 2nd string 11.

The Leeds 1st team played Swansea in the FA Cup 3rd at Elland Road on the following day (Sat 3rd Jan 1970).

The game was arranged as a gesture of goodwill by Leeds to raise some much needed revenue for the Park Avenue club.

It is not particularly rare but holds its value because 1969/70 was Bradford's final season in the League.
