I hope another comes along soon.....

I was just surprised that it reached its selling price with 3 days to go.....

No one came in with a last minute bid.......strange

People were probably thinking like you Pete.

Over £50 for a pirate, I don't want to pay that.

But these are the new collectables for collectors who have completed post war sets, that along with reserves, youth, wartime and prewar.

There will always be some from the more collectable clubs going for prices never heard of for pirates a few years back.

I was an under bidder and went to £51...unsuccessful but in my mind
you have to set a limit and stop somewhere. At the moment it seems Pompey collectors are out in force......there's competition with nearly everything decent coming onto the ebay/auction market at the moment. Good for sellers!

Looking at the winners ID or what I can see of it I would say that was taken out by one our big hitters, who is pretty much complete back to the war.
