I e-mailed him about the £9.99 for the Reading v Grimsby programme at £9.99 (+ £2.45 p+p) but despite stating he replies to all e-mails I've heard nothing. Surprised? Not really....

Check out the feedback left for him.

This one stood out for me:

"Positive, twat"

Laughing

More interestingly however, is the feedback they have left for others! ... there's a rabbit away somewhere!

Sure some of you may realise Spurs won the double in 60/61 but have you ever had to pay ridiculous prices for your teams programmes against spurs from that season??

I know the everton fans on here would bulk at this price, on Ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Everton-.....240%3A1318

I only paid £4.75 for a mint condition copy of this programme.

The same seller does have one of the two aways i need form that season, for sale on Ebay at a buy it now price of £329, i'm hoping that he is not the only person with a copy of this programme for sale as i will never complete my collection

I bought Preston v Spurs 60-1 a couple of years ago for £3. Put it on ebay and it went for £130. Don't know if it's values dropped since then or not, but it's always been one of the most sought after Spurs away double season programmes.

Just picked that one up for £93, only one I need now is away to Bolton, but as i say I'm not willing to pay anywhere near the £329 buy it now price on Ebay, unless i win something stupid on the lottery, which is highly unlikely

I've just spent a few minutes chuckling at the cheek of Football Zone. For example they have have 7 different 59/60 Bolton v Man Utd programmes in stock at only £19.50 each, probably bought at under £2 each off ebay.
And a pair of 78/79 Bolton v Man C programmes with team changes and light creases at only £12.50 each.

There is something there that raises a question though. Two of his 63/64 Bolton v Man Utd issues match played 5th Oct 63 have the date 15 Feb 64 stamped on them.Football Zone reckons this was a postponed issue but it obviously wasn't as the match was played on 5 October.According to my sources Bolton played Man utd reserves on 15 Feb 64, so did Bolton sell their first team programme dated 5th Oct 63 with 15 Feb 64 stamped on it for the reserves game v Man U that season?...one for the Man Utd experts.

Bolton produced a regular first team home dated 5th Oct and also produced a single sheet[standard issue] for the Central League match v MU Reserves on the 15th Feb 1964, so any talk of postponed items appears to me to be drivel. There is no mention ever in any of the collectors books/mags re MU programmes over the years suggesting this either. Bolton and Manchester United did not play each other in the Manchester Senior Cup, Lancashire Senior Cup, F.A. Youth Cup,or any First team or Reserve home and away friendlies, but they did play each other during this season home and away in the Lancashire League Divisions One and Two and the Lancashire League Supplementary Leagues also Division One and Two but these were no more than A and B team games where programmes were hardly issued and all of those games were played in September and November 1963 and in April 1964.
The conclusion is I would say that this would now look to be odds on total bollocks. Very Happy

I came across this seller over 15 years ago-never purchased anything from him, think i sold him something once about that time ago-never seen him since and could not tell you his name either.
His prices are OTT but someone is buying for sure-his ads appear on the net and he is spending money getting links everywhere, so perhaps those inexperienced and new to the hobby see a late 1950's home with no token and creased with writing on the cover and think £15 not bad for such an "old item", especially if you were born in the 1980's, as 1959 is a long time ago if you are in your 20's!!

There are two or three dealers who specialise in MU items who you can rely on and some offer regular catalogues and are very good to deal with, do not have web sites and will sell on ebay or at the ground before all match days having stalls there for many years.
