hi folks

my father in law has this programme from 19.2.1958 with the token and was wondering how much it would be worth, he was offered £150.00 a few years ago but turned it down.

I'd say the Man Utd v owls programme is currently a £70-£90 job at best, at present.

Would be interesting to see a full list of what he has and what is available.

Jim

the programme has never been £150 except possibly for a few months last year when it was the 50th Anniversary of the Munich Air disaster and there was a lot of publicity.
if it has the team sheet blank and the token intact and no creasing it should still get over £100.
if it is in the above described condition it is still a nice programme.
a lot of people on this forum would try by buy it for about £75 and sell it on at a quick profit.

if it has any faults ie team filled in(you aready say token is intact) or any creases or folds then it is a different thing altogether.

be careful with any overseas friendlies from the 1960's and 1970's.
this was an era when programme dealers were not established and some are very rare and valuable as fans didn't travel so not a lot of programmes came back.
nowadays the dealers bring back to order and lots of fans travel so modern programmes are cheap

Robert Adcock is the person who runs Sporting Memrabilia.
he is very knowleagable and very honest.
he runs a wll attended auction room and your items will find the true value.
there are really no mysteries in your Manchester United v Sheffield Wednesday.it will just cost 25/30% which is buyers and sellers fees to find out what it is fetching these days.
personally i would put a £95 reserve on it if it is in the condition you say.
if he doesn't find that acceptable wait till you get a free listing day on ebay and put it on starting at £95.
if that doesn,t work put it away until the market picks up.
it is the friendly programmes you have that Robert Adcock will help you with.
you may have all dross but equally you may have a little gem that could be worth a lot of money.
i feel sure Robert would spot it and that is one to put in his auction.
if he offers to buy them off you as a job lot i would decline and insist they all go to auction.

it is worth paying the commission to find out what he may have spotted

this genuinly is not worth much.
Deni Law's son sells signed items on ebay to order.
he buys a pile of Manchester United home programmes and gets his dad to sign them.
they usually sell for about £5.
he will also sign and dedicate to order for not a lot more.
as i keep telling Denis and my friend Pat Crerand who continually moans about signing they are not worth much until they croak it!!!
